About the Foresters
For more than 130 years, The Catholic Association of Foresters has supported the well-being of our members, their families, and the communities we serve.
Founded in the late 19th century to foster the financial security and assimilation of Irish Catholic immigrants, we are a fraternal benefit society offering a range of quality life insurance products. However, we’re not your typical insurance company. Our policyholders are more than customers; they’re Society members as well.
Today, our benefits are available to all those of Catholic faith, regardless of race or national origin. In addition to a wide range of insurance products, the Society offer non-contractual benefits in the form of educational grants, college scholarships, religious educational programs, and aid to those in need. Our college-age members can apply for scholarships to Holy Cross College, Emmanuel College, Our Lady of the Elms, and St. John’s Seminary.
Forester members can choose to participate in a diverse variety of fraternal and social activities, including children’s parties, Christmas celebrations, Communion breakfasts, golf tournaments, religious retreats, and charity fundraisers. They also perform countless charitable deeds in their local communities, across Massachusetts, and around the world.
The Society maintains a permanent charity fund, which provides for donations to the Bishop, for religious educational programs, and other charitable missions. Thus the Catholic Association of Foresters benefits all Catholics, as well as its own members.
